In the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland, Honeywell ED&S manufactures and distributes products under the MK Electric, Friedland, Homexpert and Ex-Or brands. With manufacturing sites in Southend, St Asaph and Haydock, as well as offices in Basildon and a distribution centre in Helsby, the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland operation employs over 1,000 people.
Key to its strategy of growth, Honeywell ED&S continues to focus on Energy Efficiency and Smart Buildings. All ED&S products are built to maximise energy efficiency. Some, such as Ex-Or Managed Lighting Systems, or Honeywell LED Utility Lighting, directly contribute to the conservation of energy. Others, such as MK Electric’s Prestige 3D cable management products, are manufactured using recycled materials.
As MK Electric approaches its 100th anniversary, the business is still evolving and innovating to meet the ever changing demands of our customers and marketplace. MK Electric has led the market in Quality, Reliability and Safety since 1919 – these days, Environmental and Social Responsibility are equally as important to us. As such, 74% of products sold in the UK are also manufactured in the UK.
